Ladana has been a commisioned agent with American Eagle since the company’s inception in 2011. She said, “I chose American Eagle because they gave me the opportunity to run my own business with the support I need to be successful. Our terminals support one another, whether being in the call rotation for contracted customers, or if I’m finding my own freight, I’m free to build great relationships.” That is especially true of her driver base, whom she considers her family. Jennifer’s journey to commissioned agent started as an oilfield hotshot driver, which gives her unique skills to locate the loading docks for her drivers. Now, as a terminal manager, Jennifer manages a fleet of 13 trucks including her husband’s mini-float and her son’s hotshot as well as flatbeds, winch trucks, stretch-floats and more. Her biggest transition from the driver’s seat is managing all of the dispatch, billing and paperwork that comes with servicing so many customers.
