OWNER OPERATOR SPOTLIGHT

Christopher Guidry

Terminal 56. Broussard, Louisiana

Christopher owns a 2012 Ford F-150 half ton in  “Papa Smurf” blue. With a capacity of up to 700 lbs., he mainly runs small samples and packages, typically under 100 miles between Port Fourchon, Grand Isle, Broussard and surrounding communities, but sometimes goes as far as land rigs in Texas, Alabama and Mississippi. His dad is a mini-float driver and his mom runs the terminal, so the oilfield is ‘All in the Family’. He says, “If you don’t mind being alone and listning to music or podcasts all the time, hotshot at American Eagle is the way to go!”

Tre Charles

Terminal 56. Broussard, Louisiana

With a 2001 Ford F-550 one-ton flatbed that he bought on the recommendation of a friend, Tre Charles got into oilfield trucking with American Eagle, a division of Bennett Motor Express, LLC and fell in love with the business. After a year and a half, his “money maker” is “Big Joe”, the nickname he gave to his truck. He says, “I haul up to 10,000 lbs. and I take safety very seriously. There’s a lot of lives out on the roads, so it is important we all make Safety Priority One.”

Frank Legnon

New Iberia, Lousiana. HQ Dispatch

Frank has been serving the oilfield for 4 1/2 years on a steady upgrade of equipment. Starting in a one-ton hotshot pickup truck, then a mini-float, Mr. Legnon is now the proud operator of a Freightliner Business Class M2, 32′ flatbed with tandem axles, able to haul up to 32,000 lbs. He says, “I love what I do at American Eagle. Moving oilfield baskets, boxes and freight dispatched by Miranda and Thomas at HQ, keeps me busy and making money. It’s a good career, and you can make as much as you want – if you really want it.”
